We are thrilled to announce that Rebecca Suner has been promoted to senior video journalist.
She joined The Times in 2023 as a video journalist on what is now the Reporter Video team and has produced and edited dozens of videos featuring reporters and photographers that present Times journalism in accessible and creative ways. Her work on the team has included quick turn news videos, field productions, explanatory journalism, and videos featuring New York Times photographers.
After a busy election season that took her to multiple states and both conventions, she has been focused on expanding Reporter Video’s international coverage, building strong collaborations with our reporters in various regions, while also producing news stories and helping develop new formats along the way. Dave Philipps, domestic correspondent on the National desk, says, “Rebecca has the vision and skill to make big ideas work on the small screen. Her attention to detail and deft touch make the often daunting task of creating thoughtful pieces on deadline seem almost effortless.”
Prior to The Times, Rebecca worked as a senior producer at the global news organization Brut, and as a news producer in Paris, London and Washington, D.C., for various outlets, such as France Télévisions, Bangumi and Agence France-Presse.
Rebecca was born and raised in France, and graduated with a journalism degree from City University London.
